   Is it possible to add this function to the Libraries list so file names can be scanned and changed without having to inspect individually?

   Just to clarify, you mean adding a "New Filename" textfield at right of all the medias in the library and when a button gets clicked, it should change the filename of the checked ones?

   It's a good idea, I will have it in mind.

   Yeah, that way you can toggle the function on and off via Screen Options and do many in a short time.
