On my home page, no categories will display beneath the slider image. On your demo, the categories featured, space, tech and more articles are all displayed very nicely. I am finding it impossible to display anything.

When I investigate, my understanding is that I simply need to select the categories to be displayed in the Appearance: Leaf Options: Home Page Categories box. Problem is, it’s blank.

When I try to solve the problem by creating categories in the “Posts” section, nothing shows up in the “Home Page Categories” box.

Not sure what else to do.

  • My coworker has this theme installed and we are having the same issue. I’ve created a category called ‘Featured’ and have chose the category in the Home Page Categories box to no avail.

We have the exact same issue, if you would have read my post you’d understand that I’m letting the author know two people have encountered the same issue at the same time which can help with troubleshooting.

Thanks for the clarification 🙂 I’ll get another topic started immediately.

@mattsissel2013 – The First 5 most recent post display in the slider if you have a new blog with not very many post you will not see them display in the category section until you have enough post.

@bradthomas127 – I created 5 posts under the category “adventure”, and now “adventure” shows up in the “Appearance: Leaf Options: Home Page Categories” box.

I select “adventure” from this box and click “save all changes”, but still nothing appears on my homepage after I refresh it. After creating a second category “travel” with 5 posts, I select it in the “home page categories” box. After refreshing my home page, “adventure” posts now show up beneath the slider, but “travel” posts only show up under “more articles”, rather than having their own category under the slider.

This problem repeats itself as one continues to make categories.

It seems that if I want to have 3 categories featured with their own section on my home page, I’m forced to make 4 categories.

Is there anyway to have 3 categories featured on the home page without having to make posts for another category?

    My site is adventurethumbs.com

Thank you for your prompt help!
