Launch Gallery to specific image

Can you launch a Gallery to a specific image within that Gallery (i.e. to some specific value in the sort order) via the ShortCode? I would like to have multiple entry links to the same Gallery on any given page but the initial image displayed when those links are followed should be different. If not currently possible this would be a good feature for a future release.
