Very disappointed with this review. You could provide a lot more information, I’d be very happy to help.

Be sure to import your settings after the update. This was made as clear as possible throughout the forums and even through an upgrade message in v1.2.1 within the plugin itself. Once upgraded, the plugin should work fine and as before. If you are still running into trouble, however, I’d be happy to help.

I did import them, my main complaint is with the changing of the class names which made the slider not appear at all. You can see what I mean in the other thread I opened regarding this issue.

The notice was pretty inconspicuous especially since neither me nor my client visited the “Easing Slider” portion of the site as everything was set up and didn’t need changing. If there was any other message in the admin screen my client didn’t see it and I would have caught it if the site was in the development stage, but since it was in production I didn’t have to log in as much.

I’m sorry to hear that. As mentioned in my reply to your support topic, there wasn’t much else we could do to alert users. Unfortunately we have to work with what we are given with WordPress and out best option was to display alerts within the plugin itself and on our website. The best that could be done unfortunately.

As for changing the class names, this was all just part of the development process. Easing Slider v1.2.1 was function based, Easing Slider “Lite” v2.0 is class based (and much better coded), so there was always going to be some major differences. That said, all of the older functions and shortcodes for displaying slideshows were included and should have still worked fine.

Anyway, again I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused. My sincere apologies.

Thanks, since you’re pretty helpful in the issue and this whole thing was either a glitch or a mistake on our part I have revised my review score.

    Best of luck.

I greatly appreciate that @aramaz, you really didn’t have too!

Thanks. Again, apologies for everything that has occurred. I can’t imagine it was a nice way to begin your weekend.

hehe it was not nice at all, I was on my way out and since I logged in to the site to check something unrelated I thought I’d just do a quick update of the site … but then the slider didn’t show up. I went from 0 to frustrated in one second flat 🙂

It happens to all of us! Now I always make sure to set aside some time before I do updates. I don’t think I’ve ever been through a major update cycle without problems. In-fact, a family member recently updated her site after three years and completely destroyed it. Had to build a new one entirely for her; it isn’t pleasant!

Hope it is all resolved for you now! 🙂

That’s brutal! Strange her site wasn’t hacked after not being updated for three years o.O

    Yeah, I solved everything, thanks!
