Latest Tweets No Longer Working? (12 posts)

Genesis latest tweets has stopped working on my blog.

Site: http://www.sweet2eatbaking.com (shown in the footer)

    It shows:

    Just now
    @Sweet2EatBaking

..and nothing more. In fact, I just checked another custom Genesis site I designed, and it's not working there neither.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, started another Twitter API, and still having the same problem. At first, it showed, then back to the empty no tweets void again.

I'd appreciate if anyone could let me know a fix. Thanks in advance.

It's not working on my site either. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and have now uninstalled again because it looks terrible if I leave a broken plugin installed.

It's not just you, there's been 2 others that have posted the same problem in this thread. Yet their comments are being deleted for some reason - I get email notifications.

Yeah, same on my site too - very frustrating. Twitter feeds are basic, and I don't know why this is so hard to get right. Allow the regular Twitter widget to work, and the plugin is not needed at all. Just starting with Genesis and hoping the rest of setup goes better than this.

@Sweet2EatBaking - thanks for that. It's so frustrating. I'm not tagging on your topic, just letting people know that you're not the only one. I don't expect anyone to work on my particular site but if there are many people who are having this issue all at once then there's a better chance it will get fixed quicker. I get the forum rules but I'm not really asking for anything, merely giving information.

Really hope it gets fixed for you soon! Cheers :)

Esmi, I don't mind other peeps coming in this thread to stating they're having the same issue. This way, if the plugin developers see this, they will know that it's not just my site having the issue, and therefore means it must be a plugin problem that needs an update to work again.

I hope this plugin gets fixed soon as I prefer it over the Jetpack Twitter plugin or using Twitter's HTML coding. I prefer the way this plugin displays the tweets over the others.

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

    Any words from the developer(s)?
The same happened a year ago when wp3.6 rolled out. Author updated the plugin from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 to address the problem

    Any words from the developer(s)?

The Twitter api occasionally has issues where it times out, etc. & there isn't anything any developer of any plugin using the api can do about it.

The twitter api times out for a month or more at a time? Seems pretty implausible.

Don't know about twitter api or anything that matters. Thing is many other themes with built-in twitter widget features using twitter api and they're working perfectly. I guess it's time we move to more subtle feature offered by twitter itself (in your account Settings>Widget).
Thanks to the developer for this nice plugin though it's sad to see it's dying.

My client's site is having the same problem. It can't be Twitter "timing out" if a dozen or more people are having the exact same problem at the exact same time. That means its a plug in failure for some reason. Grrr!

Hello All - I found that certain browser plugins like Ghostery can block the Twitter feed from loading. This could also be true for antivirus software that may block certain content too - so try white listing and see if that makes a difference. I'm using Twitter widget code in Genesis with Metro Pro theme.
