Hi there, thanks in advance for any help.

Basically, I'm planning to install WordPress in the directory http://www.interactiverichard.co.uk/blog , but I would really like to have a list of say, the last 6 posts appear somewhere on the homepage at http://www.interactiverichard.co.uk (not part of the WP installation).

What's the best way to list the last 6 post titles (and perhaps a short snippet from the post) made linkable to the actual blog entry? And then put this on the non-WP homepage? Perhaps I could use PHP to grab these from the database or something... I'm not sure, so what do you think is best?

    Cheers, Rich

The topic that appears at *least* once a day...

To 'intergrate' WordPress in a non-WP PHP document:

To show only last 6 posts (if you're displaying more or less than that on the blog's home page):
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/query_posts

    To display a short snippet:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_excerpt

Another option is to collect the posts through RSS. Some WP-related tools for that can be found here (CG-Feedread may fit best):

Since your main page is .php - it would be easy: use your rss feeds and a feedreader.
If you search for feedread or feedreader you'll fnd several options.
