    Hi,

You need to update the database, as directed in the dashboard and everything will be better than it was.

In any case, we've updated to 2.6.1 so that such warnings don't appear!

    Regards.

I get the same error as Scott.

Nothing in the dashboard allows me to update the database.

I tried to unsintall and reinstall the plugin, but the error still appears.

Is there anything to force the database update ?

Hi, could any of you post a link to your sites? This is unusual and unexpected.

    Regards.

I was able to see the option to upgrade the plugin to version 2.6.1 once I deactivated and reactivated the plugin, but it still has the same page warnings. I don't see an option to update the database either.

I'm going to the Buddypress Media button at the top of Admin and it takes me to settings...no option for database update.

    Yes of course.

warning : the site is french translated ^^

    I'm re-activating the plugin now.

Note : this site is freshly new, only 2 pictures have been uploaded (yesterday)

    Hi @Kevin,

    Do one of the following:

    1. Hard refresh your browser, a couple of times
    2. Update to 2.6.2, released just now

This will fix your problem. What Rhoo and Scott are facing is something different. Yours is similar to http://wordpress.org/support/topic/latest-update-doesnt-want-to-update-database

    Regards.

    Hi,

I just noticed a few things that don't seem right.

The plugin is not keeping proper count of the number of items being uploaded. For example, when you upload a photo, shouldn't it increase the number count on the "photos" tab and the overall count on the 'media' tab by an increment of one? Mine keeps showing zero (0). It's the same for all the other media tabs, no matter what type of media is uploaded, it's always showing zero (0).

Second issue. When an album is created by a new user, it's not showing up on the list of albums. It's saying 'Sorry, no albums were found'.

The last issue. The plugin is messing with the css of my footer. It's making it fluid width across the entire width of the screen. It needs to conform to the page width setting of the default template that is selected for the page.

    Thanks

    Hi @Scott,

The errors with the Privacy update regarding counts and displays have been fixed.

I'll reconfirm the footer issue, in a day.

    Regards.

Great. Yeah, the plugin is messing with the CSS on some of the pages, home, and user, not all. Just the footer.

    Thanks

To clarify, it's effecting CSS on any page that has the media stream in the sidebar. Pages that don't have it are working fine.

Also for the albums, it would be nice if you could edit the album cover from the 'Edit Album' window. Right now you can only set the album cover by navigating to an uploaded photo and clicking to make it your album cover. It would be better if you were allowed to set the album cover during album creation process and during the edit album process. It's because most people want to have a nice album cover and don't want it showing up in their photo media or in the activity stream.

    Just my opinion

    Thanks

Any fixes for the CSS issues? Right now the plugin breaks my footer. It's making the footer fluid width, stretching across the bottom of the screen.

    Thanks

    Hi,

We've identified the issue. We'll release the fix in the next update, along with other UI and style changes. Meanwhile, to fix this issue, you could do this:

    In

    plugins/buddypress-media/app/widgets/BPMediaWidget.php
    ,

    find the following code:

    function widget( $args, $instance ) {
    			extract( $args );

and add this just after the extract( $args );:

echo $before_widget; in a new line.

    Regards.

I have tried this and it is not working for me. It is still throwing our sidebar down to the bottom. With our theme, it is actually making our footer fixed when it should be fluid.

Please can you provide a fix for this... this is one of the reason's our site cannot go live right now.

    Thanks.
