• My website was in both German and English (The default was German) and all was fine until yesterday. Suddenly when I go to my website, only the homepage in in German, and then when I press on any other page, it starts to load as the german, but then adds the “en/” and switches to the English page. I also now cannot select German on any of the other pages, as I could before.

Can someone please give me some advice 🙁 My German speaking clients (my main market) are complaining that they can’t understand my site.

I just learned as well now that my business partner was in the site 2 or 3 days ago and he updated the WordPress version. Could tho have done something to cause this problem?

    Yes! Is it qTranslate?

I didnt reate the site and I am not so familiar, but I just checked the plugins and this is what I found that had to do with language:
    WPML Translation Management
    WPML Multilingual CMS

I don’t know anything about that plugin unfortunately. When you are logged in to the dashboard can you still access the Deutsch and English content? If so, and if your website isn’t too large, I recommend copying the content somewhere safe and considering changing to another translation plugin – unless WPML has support?

I am afraid to change it as I am not familiar with WP. Our designer left us int he lurch and now I have to try to figure this out on my own. If I mess it up, I won’t know how to fix it 🙁
