    Hi mangoman,

So it sounds like you found this FAQ here already: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-translate-bd-for-non-english-language/

Can you walk me through exactly what you’ve done so far to activate this file? Leave no step out, no matter how trivial. Include all files names you’re using, where you put them, etc. Something was missed, it’s just a question of finding it so you can move on. 🙂

I followed the steps in numerical order *exactly* as indicated – I used that post as my original guide for actions – but it still doesn’t work. The translation shows up in Poedit, too. 🙁

    Files uploaded to: wp-content/plugins/business-directory-plugin/languages
    WBPDM-es_ES.mo
    WBPDM-es_ES.po

I do not understand this support-forum post:
    http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/support-questions/no-translation-possible/#p3931

»» What is: “the path to the plugin directory in the po editor” – is that something that I need to do? (It is not mentioned in your instructions.) Is there some string or URL that needs to be in the .po/.mo files?

Will share the language files in the forums or to you ….once we demonstrate that this works. 🙂

    Hi mangoman,

Let’s keep the conversation in one place. No need to run around and answer the same question multiple times. It’s just confusing to everyone.

Looking at your file names, they are misspelled.

You want WPBDM, (as in “WordPress Business Directory Manager”). You have two letters backwards.

The name of the file matters hugely–the first part of the file must match the extract strings used in BD.

I believe that’s the issue. Try that.

    Doh!

I could kick myself for not seeing that – thanks for the extra set of eyes on this.

Now then, where can I send the language files? Or should I create a post on your support forums? 🙂

You can post theme on the forum. That would be best, I think. Search is better there and more traffic goes there anyhow.

Please see this post – I have made the language files available. 🙂
