OK I apologise if this has been added elsewhere before.
I've got my site running (after much messing about and actually losing the whole lot once already). The WP core files are stored in the top level directory. So how do I get anyone visiting http://www.insightz-uk.com to land on my home page rather than straight into the blog pages?
I tried following the "Giving_Wordpress_its_Own_Directory thing once before and that's what messed me up! I got to a point in the tutorial and it logged me out and I couldn't get back in. THe whole site went down so I ended up uninstalling the whole thing from my host and starting again!
Please help!
1) Create a New Page (don't call it "home." I don't know if the bug still exists, but just name it something else.)
2) in your settings > reading, set your home page as that new page you just created.

Cheers Doodlebee, although I think the bug must be fixed because I'm still called "Home" and it seems to work fine.
Awesome. I know it was something that was going on a while ago, but I've been avoiding doing it for so long that I wasn't aware if it ever did get fixed. (I figured it did at some point, but it's habit to *not* name it that now, so it never dawned on me to even think to check! :) ) Glad you got sorted :)
