    I just switched from a wordpress.com blog to a wordpress.org blog. Both use the kubrick theme. One difference I’ve noticed though is that now the post doesn’t display the author below the title like it did on the wordpress.com blog. It only displays the date. I assume this is a pretty easy fix but I don’t really know how to do it. How do I get it to display the author of the post at the top of the post?

    Also, another difference I’ve noticed: it now uses kubrickbgwide.jpg for both the homepage and for a page displaying a single post. Is there a way to change this? I modified the image so that there’s a gray line separating the sidebar from the main content area, but now when you click on a post to show just that post, there is no sidebar, and the line is still there, running through the text of the post.

    ok so i fixed the latter but am still having trouble with the former…
