    I have a list of a few issues and improvements written down, which I don't think are big enough to clutter Github with, I'll be adding the bigger ones on https://github.com/Darrenmeehan/BuddyPress-Like/issues?state=open

    Thanks to everyone who brought other bugs to my attention! I'll have them fixes as soon as I can. My aim is to have this plugin bug free as soon as possible, then start adding in features.

    If anyone comes across any issues if you could let me know what version of WordPress and BudyPress you're using, and any other information related to the issue it would be great!

    Sometimes when I click like, the button turns into this little dot and nearly disappears. Then if I reload the page, it looks fine. Also, when multiple people like something, it says " Like (2) Edward Davoly and Todd Abshire and liked this1 " (it adds a "1" to the word this). Also, when I have it set to just display likes and not the names of the likers, it still displays them anyway (usually).

    Hi pugman, the issues you mentioned should be fixed in today's 0.1.5 update. There's still some issues with the plugin, but it's getting closer to being comfortably usable.

    Wonderful. I just updated and noticed that there is no way to turn off the display of "Show number of people who liked" "Show just the likes", etc. Is that feature gone? Also, I have always had a problem when it shows the likes, the text goes right over the next comment. I have tried to add a "margin-bottom" in the css, but it doesn't seem to work correctly. This may be theme related, but do you have any ideas of how to fix this.

    Here is a link:
    http://www.mycoinclub.com/

    (You should see the problem on any post that is liked.. or just like one of the posts and then refresh the page to see the problem).

    Thanks for helping with this plugin!!! :)

    Just for reference purposes, this is what I have added to my css:

    .bp-like.activity_liked .activity-meta, .bp-like.blogpost_liked .activity-meta, .users-who-like, .mini a.view-likes, .mini a.hide-likes
    { margin-bottom: 30px !important; }

    If I didn't do this, everything gets overlapped... and if there are several likes on a post, the names get overlapped even with this css.

    I'm trying to simplify the settings as it removes a complexity for you the site owners, and end users liking content. It's not totally finished yet though, I do think removing the "View Likes" button is a good idea, but I may have to reconsider not having it as an options...

    As for the styling issues, I'm not sure what to do about this. I'd prefer not to add in extra styling but it seems I may have to.

    Thanks for the appreciation! And I'll try to have these issues fixed soon. If you could chime in with what you think about the above issues ( and indeed any others you see) it would be a great help!

    Thanks for checking it out. What if you made it where you hovered or clicked on the "View likes" button, and a separate box with the list of users appears, kind of like facebook. Not sure how complicated it is, but it would make it where it didn't overwrite the text below. Or if there is an option to just remove the names of the people who like it altogether, then (at least for my site), it would look a lot nicer. I appreciate whatever you do, though, and glad someone is working with this plugin!

    Do you have any CSS code for my particular site that would work better besides the "margin-bottom: 30px" that I stated? I am debating turning off the likes until it gets fixed or I can hide them since it makes the site look a little funny.

    No problem :)

    The next planned step I have is to display a popup when the user clicks on the "x others", something I am actually copying from Facebook: they do it so well!

    I'd recommend turning the plugin off for now until I sort this issue, and a few other small ones out. If you deactivate the plugin, you'll still be notified of updates.

    I'm now using your plugin v1.0.5 with WP 3.5.2, BP 1.7.3 (what is a stable environment for me) and a premium theme called Salutation. Seems to be fine. Thanks for all your coding, Darren!

    Didn't wonted to open new thread, so I'll just write it here

    //TODO: I believe there is a bp core function for this.

    since bplike_activity_button runs inside loop, there is no need to add extra query.

    you can use functions like bp_get_activity_type() as you are using bp_get_activity_id()

    That's exactly it! There's a few other BuddyPress functions I think I can make sure of, as there's a lot of queries currently being added by the plugin.

    Thanks!

    Nice work Darren. Look forward to future updates.
    I am trying it with the Buddyboss theme and it works.
    Do get a strange
    "Unlike (1) , and -2 liked this." for some Likes.

    When I was trying to adjust my sidebar layout in the widgets sections I noticed that the menus were not expanding. I disabled my plugins one by one until I found the problem -- it turned out to be your plugin. I'm running WP 3.8.1 with BuddyPress 1.9.2.

    Just passing it on!

    The problem with menus not expanding is due to a javascript error. The jquery ui dialog script is not getting loaded because of an extra space in the wp_enqueue_script command in the /includes/scripts.php file. On line 21, the command is

    wp_enqueue_script(' jquery-ui-dialog');

    but it should be

    wp_enqueue_script('jquery-ui-dialog');

    Conflict with plugin wp-job-manager. When i turn on BP Like 0.1.7 The wp-job-manager Plugin - The Job page does not load the job listings. BP Like 0.1.6 works OK with wp-job-manager.

    Possible conflict with QuickCache.
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-cache/

    I installed this plugin on a self-hosted WordPress installation that is running BuddyPress. I am also running the QuickCache plugin.

    After installing the "BuddyPress Like" plugin, the Clear Cache button on QuickCache did not seems to work. (I pressed Clear Cache but there was no indication that the cache cleared. Usually when you press Clear Cache an icon start spinning to indicate that it's working). The Clear Cache button worked as intended when I disabled "BuddyPress Like".

    I am trying to set up a buddypress area within a site using iThemes Everett theme. I am also using Gravity Forms for my contact form and for accepting payments for events. When I activated BuddyPress Like, my contact form disappeared. In talking with the Gravity Forms support people, they said the following:

    "This is the JavaScript error which is causing the form not to appear:

    Timestamp: +3/20/2014 5:13:37 PM
    Error: TypeError: jQuery(...).dialog is not a function
    Source File: http://www.cleanslatewebs.com/everest/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-like/assets/js/bp-like.min.js?ver%5B0%5D=jquery
    Line: 1

    You will need to check with the author of the BuddyPress Like plugin with respect to fixing that error."

    Are you able to fix this problem so I can use your plugin?

    Thanks.

    The latest version pretty much breaks my entire site.(DynamiX Theme) It ran fine on the previous version.

    Revolution slider fails to load.
    All accordions/expandable content tabs break completely and are permanently expanded. (Visual composer is in use and incorporated into the theme)
    Social stream plugin fails to load any streams on any page.

    Its a serious no go for me at this moment in time.

    Thanks sincerely for your efforts, I will monitor your progress in the hope you can and do resolve the issues highlighted above.

    I had an issue with getting this message...

    Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array...

    so I edited line 479 of the file... /includes/like-functions.php

    from this...

    $users_who_like = array_keys( bp_activity_get_meta( $bp_like_id , 'liked_count' , true ) );

    to this

    $users_who_like = array_keys( (array)(bp_activity_get_meta( $bp_like_id , 'liked_count' , true )) );

    and this fixed the problem - fyi

    Great Plugin, but when it is activated, any tabs in the admin panel do not load their content. It seems like there is a JQuery error somewhere.
