Are there any known conflicts for FR with other plugins? I’m using it on two multisite installations: one for development and the other for operations. It’s working perfectly on my development server but not on the operational site. (Naturally. My life. So hard.)

The way it fails is this: when I select an image to be the browser icon or the touch icon, it uploads the image to the media library successfully, but when I click on Add Browser Icon, the Add Icon window goes white and nothing ever happens. The same thing happens if I try to add an icon from an existing media library file. If I close the modal window by hand, nothing has been set in the Favicon Rotator screen.

I’m going to keep looking for differences between my development server and the operational server — if I figure it out, I’ll post the answer — but was wondering if anyone had come across this before.

Hi, there are no known conflicts with Favicon Rotator.

You may want to check the following on your production server to see if it matches with your dev server:

    • PHP Version
    • Server configuration (Apache, etc.)
    • WordPress Version

You’ll also want to make sure the production server meets WordPress’ minimum requirements. Favicon Rotator mirrors WP’s requirements, so it should work as long as those requirements are met.

Heh. I did get this working, but now I don’t remember what the resolution was. *SIGH* The consequences of being a one-person shop: too @#$% busy, and nothing sticks in my head for longer than it takes to fix it. Anyway, it works, and it’s fab. Thanks for the great plugin!

(Yeah, all of our servers are kept patched and up to date. I have a great sysadmin who is worth his weight in gold.)
