copy the code from functions.php file and paste in pastebin.com. After that share the pastebin link here. We will check the code and try to resolve it.

Open the file in the editor (or an editor), go to line 187 (numbered pages usually in one of the lower corners of the editor) and find the < symbol (no quotes) near where you were editing then, simply delete it and save the file... left-over junk is all....

FTP to the site and change it that way.... OR rename the theme folder to theme.bak and you'll get the default template

Of course, the errant < may be there due to the "editor" (the non plain text editor used?/ file format issues?)

I really don't know what to tell you unless the website has a "control panel" and you can get to the files through some sort of file manager however:

    Get filezilla
    ftp to the site use:
    site.com
'username' for the ftp user sometimes the same as admin username for the site
    'password'

Navigate to the wp-contents/themes/ folder and locate the theme and then the file or simply rename the broken theme to theme.broke and you'll get to the 'http://site.com/wp-login.php' and fix that way...

Who put the site there for you? Who's your host?

you put the wrong thing on pastebin. download the file in your local machine .then open the file and copy the entire code and paste on the pastebin.com. Then we can check the code of that file. Does make sense?

You need to use FTP access to fix this - you will need to get that info from your hosting company. Then download a new copy of your theme to you local computer and from that theme use the new functions file to replace the one you messed up.

Can you access your site through the admin (dashboard) now? If not, you'll have to ask your hosting company about FTP access - see also:

You can get to your files by logging into the GoDaddy account, click on "My Account" and then launch the web site that you are having problems with... I would simply tell you to rename the theme folder to theme.broke or theme.bad, and then got to fanboyfactor.com/wp-login.php and you will be able to log in...

Of course, Godaddy will tell you via their/YOUR management console how to FTP to your site where as, you can go into the themes functions.php and eiher replace the entire file or, go to line 187 and remove the extra < symbol found on that line...

Other than that, I am available to help you out [Please do not solicit work here or EVER ask people to post or send login information to you]

Firstly, I am NOT SOLICITING A THING the USER IS... and obviously YOU CANNOT HELP so the user if so needs to, can work around this as THEY see fit...

Sorry, but it's against forum policy to ask users to contact you. If you want to offer help here, great - much appreciated. As I'm sure you can understand no one has any idea who might be "offering to help" on a public forum - so that policy is to protect people from unscrupulous people. It's no reflection on you or your good intentions, but it is the policy.
