I am so excited. I like Kevin Rose, and am glad to hear him converting. 😀

    digg adds blogging features

    From Digg News:

“New to digg today: the ability to digg stories to your blog. Choose a story that you wish to blog, then click “blogâ€?. digg will instantly post that story to your website. If you don’t like the way a story is worded, you also have the ability to rewrite your blog post. Supported blogs: Typepad, Live Journal, Blogger, Moveable Type, and WordPress. (note: you must be a registered user to see these features)”

I’m switching over to WordPress just so I can use this new feature. With a single click you can now +digg and blog a story. This is probably the easiest way to add tech news stories to your blog.

    enjoy.

  • I’m also stoked.

I run telecommer.com and pick up tons of telecom stories at digg.com, and until now I could only pass on a few of them to my readers. Now it’s about 4 clicks to post from digg.com to telecommer.com, and I can add whatever content I want to the post (to give it my own perspective).

One problem: it always posts under my ‘Site Admin’ default category.

I created a special “my telecom picks from digg.com” category to give fair credit and distinguish that content from my own original writings. I’ve changed my default category to the “my telecom picks from digg.com” instead of ‘Site Admin’ in both Options>Writing >Default Post Category and in the >Writing by Email section on the same page.

It still posts under ‘Site Admin’ and I have to manually change it each time.

How can I get it to post under the right category?
