  • I want to use WP as a company intranet template, with different pages for managers and staff.

I can pw protect certain pages, but cannot see how to protect the main “blog” on the home page. To get around this I’ve pw protected the directory on the Linux server that hosts the wp site. This works fine, except that users have to provide a username/pw repeatedly at the “home” page if they navigate away to other parts of the site and then return to the main blog.

Is there a way around this? I simply want my entire WP site to be accessible to employees but not outsiders. This must be a common challenge, but I can’t find a discussion on the FAQ or help forums.
