keep WP nav on non-site pages

    I would like to keep/have the WP site navigation on the external pages.

    I create a WP page – with header in the main nav
    I link the page to an external url
    The external page displays, but there is no main/WP site nav on the page.
    Must close page or go back to get to main/WP site.

    Is there a way to have the WP nav at the top, or anywhere, display on an external page?

    I thought that iframes were the answer, but I don’t know. The plug-in descriptions are confusing. As am I.
