    Hi, all,

I don’t really know enough php to be dangerous. I wrote my blog by borrowing somebody else’s theme and hacking bits until I got it to look the way I wanted it to look.

Only, I have a recurring problem. On certain versions of Internet Explorer, the sidebar gets pushed all the way down to the bottom of the text portion, so nobody using that browser can see my sidebar. Firefox does not exhibit this problem.

It apparently thinks the text is too wide. Visually, it’s not, but it thinks it is.

What I want to know is, is there a command I can put into my css or into the sidebar itself that will force the sidebar to appear at the correct location on the page, even if it thinks it’s overlaying some other graphic or text? That way, I can tell IE “Stop complaining and just put the damn sidebar where you’re supposed to.”

    Thanks for your assistance.

    Phil W.
