   I'm a professional developer, yes. And given that I run my own web dev company, all of my work is "freelance" :-)

   I'd really appreciate your reply and I am a newbie on wordpress. I was attracted to kartellstorela.com site on the clarity of layout and was wondering if i could emulate its layout? Is that possible?

   You could with the permission of site owner if its custom made theme. If its free WordPress theme you can go ahead without permission.
