    Well, I have it set up so my pages display archive content.

    Inside the page post (admin panel), it has
    <?php query_posts('cat=4'); ?>

    Somehow I want it to get and post this information without showing that top/first post which displays the title and any other text on the page. Get rid of it. Just want it to go away.

    I tried erasing any other text beside the query and removing the title from my page.php file, which ended up removing the title from every post that the query called. And even though other text was gone from the page post, the design meant for each post was still there, just empty space. So now above the correct displayed archive is this random page title and an empty box.

    I have no clue what to do. Any suggestions would be cool, till then I'm-a wonderin' around WP-

    Thanks

    For starters, you'd be better off placing this code within a custom page template and then applying that template to the relevant page(s).

    You want to omit the most recent post> Or something else?

    I'm using a custon page.php template -
    http://astrocomical.com/sketches/

    See the empty space at the top?

    Currently, to get rid of that title (obviously because I want the title of the page at the top where I have it now) I'm using this code:
    <?php if(get_the_title()!='Sketches'){ the_title(); } ?>
    So, if the title isn't "Sketches" then I'm cool with it being displayed. I don't really like this though.

    I'm thinking about switching to this "Thesis" theme thing, do you think that might be a major help to me? Considering what I'm trying to accomplish here.
