Just upgraded to 2.8.4. When I try to add a new post or edit an old post I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_editable_user_ids() in /homepages/6/d180055220/htdocs/Advantage Dealer Insurance/provingground/wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php on line 505

When I try to edit a page, I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_editable_user_ids() in /homepages/6/d180055220/htdocs/Advantage Dealer Insurance/provingground/wp-admin/edit-page-form.php on line 358

It's like it can't find my info. WHAT AM I MISSING?

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - reading http://wordpress.org/support/topic/279132?

    - disabling Google Gears if you have that running/installed within Firefox?
