jamiemchHi there, so I moved over to wordpress.org a couple of days ago as I wanted more control over my site. So far it's been relatively painless but there's a few things I don't understand:
1. I don't know what I should be using my FTP program for (I installed fillezilla) so far i've used it to upload a new theme following a youtube vid tutorial but am I also supposed to be using it for plugins? These seem to install automatically, is FTP some sot of backup system?
2. On wordpress.com I had subscribers to my site and want to transfer them over to this one, is there a subscriber plug-in?
