So within 30 minutes I enbaled and disabled this plugin about 30 times already. I’m just not sure what using this plugin means.

As I understand, this plugin works great, but comes with a few constraints:

    1. You can no longer manually resize or manually crop images via WordPress, right? I will have to either use my own predefined thumbnails, small, medium or large in my posts, but I can’t just custom-resize an image once it’s been uploaded. If after uploading I crop or custom-size an image, I will either a) get inconsistent image sizes on retina and non-retina screens b) not get retina to display at all.

    2. The plugin does not nessecarily affect the logo, since some themes will have only one version displayed and force that into the output.

    1. True, you cannot really crop, or manually resize (except using HTML or CSS, this is fine). You need to have constant sizes, or you need to create the @2x files manually.

    2. The logo is also a special size not registered in WP (usually) so you need to create the @2x file for this one as well.
