I just installed wordpress on my website's hosting account in the root directory. I was trying to get the WP Blogsite link with my url website and visaversa: dlcinteriordesign.com. The tech at go daddy, told me to use dlcinteriordesign.com/index.htm for my WP Blog url - it works great when I click on the blog link in my dlcinteriordesign.com site, it goes to my WP Blog site, and when I click the home page in my WP Blog it goes back to the DLC home page.

The problem is that in my WP site, the links and other pages (don't really need other pages) don't work, and I can not preview my work when I am using the admin.

Can anyone help me find the problem to this, I like using WP, may since I am not tech savy, I need more support.

    Thank you.

You cant have WordPress in a folder where you are expecting to use and index.html. You should put WordPress in a subfolder such as blog or wordpress, then access the blog as dlcinteriordesign.com/blog for example.

If you are at GoDaddy, make sure you have a linux hosting account.

Thanks, I changed it to dlcinteriordesign/blog, so what should the url of the blog be? dlcinteriordesign/blog/index.php? And how do I link the blog back to my website?

You would just need dlcinteriordesign/blog as the index.php will automatically execute.

And how do I link the blog back to my website?

    Possibilities:
    1. Create a link to dlcinteriordesign
    2. Create a page and use the Page Links To to link to dlcinteriordesign

    Create a link

ok, made the new page but cant figure out how to make the page link to my website's homepage. Is there a way to create a page and call it home and when you click on it, it will go to my website's home page?

Option 2 as I suggested above.

Install this plugin first, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/ then create a Page called home and in the Page Links To module put the URl to your main website.

Ok, I figured that out, it is working now, but it says "pages" then under that is the link to "home" is there any way to hide the "pages" title? Would use different templates change this look?
