I just want to say thanks for this great plug-in.

I know that there were several questions about localizing this plug-in and I’ve done it to Dutch (Netherlands). For the front-end it is just an easy thing to do. Only a few strings to translate.

I also changed the look of the widget to become like the style of my theme. This was more time consuming, but also doable.

The only things which I am still looking for is:

    – how to change the currency into European style ( ‘,’ instead of ‘.’)
    – and were can I find the breadcump ‘book’

Unfortunatly I can not use the buttons since Amazon or the others are not available or popular in The Netherlands, but if you like I could been of assistance to port it to the biggest book supplier which I’m also using right now.

Regards and keep on doing the great work !

    Fred,

    Thanks for your feedback.

I am always excited to hear about people using the plugin around the world. We had no idea MyBookTable would be used outside the U.S.

I’m sorry it has taken us a while to get internationalization fully supported.

Adding the ability to customize the “book” breadcrumb/permalink is already in our pipeline. Look for it in an upcoming update. Should be out in the next month.

We also plan to add support for comma based decimal systems. We are discussing the best way to accommodate that.

As for porting it to support the biggest book supplier, I am intrigued. I imagine the best approach is for us to create a system so that we can have “country packs” that translate the plugin and add support for local book stores.

In the short term, you can use the Universal Buy Button. To add links to regional stores.

    Thomas,

    Thanks for your reply.

For the time-being I’ve created my own “buy button”, which connects the the reseller and which integrates a tracking-system, so the reseller knows that the buyer comes from my site and the commision is added to my account.

I’ve just updated to version 1.25 and made the changes (localisation etc.) Works great again.

The only thing which I would have done differently is adding the “publisher”. It would be nice if that was done the same way as adding a “author”, “genre” and “series”.

No you have to add the publisher again while adding a new book from the same publisher.

For now “HAPPY NEW YEAR !!”.

    Regards,

    Fred

Thanks Fred. Could you send us a link to your site? I would love to see how the plugin looks in Dutch.

    Fred,

Thanks for all the tips and feedback.

We have developer documentation available on our MyBookTable GitHub Wiki. It includes a section on how to add new “Stores” (our word for Buy Button types).
