Just finished implementing WordPress in the personal blog I have been keeping for a few years. Let me know what you think...

    http://wesblog.com

Also, feel free to exchange links... preferably if you have a non-commercial site

Interesting note: Gen. Wesley Clark routinely promotes his "Wesblog" however his URL is http://securingamerica.com. Guess I beat him to the domain registration.

Also, do you think I should take the time to make it IE 6.0 compatible or wait for those users to buy a new computer or upgrade?

Currently 20% of my viewers use IE 6.0.

I think the overall design is nice, but I would consider showing fewer posts on the front page. I had to scroll a mile to get to the end.

    Thanks. That's an easy fix.

    Wes...
I MUST HAVE the "where is Wes" functionality... must have it. Is that accomplished through a plug-in, or some hack you've worked up?

You can get a link to your own map or the code to embed one at http://www.instamapper.com/

Just drop the embed HTML code instamapper supplies into a blog post or create a new page and put it there (make sure you are on the HTML view instead of VISUAL)

I use the free app for my iphone to update the map. Just press a button on my iphone home screen and presto! my webpage now shows my current location.

Instmapper should work with any GPS enabled cell phones. In fact, some phone work much better than the iphone and will send real time map updates -- kinda like a trail if you are moving.

Very cool. Love the theme. The crabs thing was even pretty funny. Love the 'where's Wes' idea. Sweet!
