• #Wordpress folks I need some help. I have a WP install that’s been fine for ages and now I can’t click the HTML tab, the insert media icon or the icon to make the edit window full screen. I’m on WP 3.4.2 with Headway Themes 3.3.

I’ve tried on multiple computers and browsers, Mac and PC.
I’ve disabled plugins and nothing makes a difference.
I’ve rolled back to WP 2012, no difference.

I’ve been told this may be a jQuery conflict, but I’m not sure I’m skilled enough to figure that out.

    Ideas?

  • Hi Robin,

So, starting from the assumption that everything works fine with no plugins installed and running the default 2011 theme, you need to rule out the obvious issues. It’s awesome that you’ve disabled all the plugins, but have you tried switching themes? Lots of themes run a ton of javascript.

In addition, because you’re using a commercial theme, it is technically not supported on these forums, as they are staffed by volunteers supporting an open source product. By buying a theme, you’re paying for support, and if they don’t provide it, they’re not deserving of your business.

    Andrew,

Everything was working just fine a few days ago when I last worked on the site… but then again I don’t recall the last time I was working within a post/page, so I’m not sure when this went awry.

I did swap over to the default Twenty Eleven theme and I still had the same issue. I just tested it again to make sure. So, I don’t think it’s my commercial theme that’s the problem. I’ve posted to the Headway Themes boards (where they provide support) and am still waiting to see if anyone there has ideas too.
