You want a critique? It looks lovely. However, I would eliminate times new roman from that site or any other site you’ve made. It’s just an ugly font. Also, the gradient on this site is dithered and that doesn’t look good.
Font choices are such a personal opinion…. I love TNR, because it’s very readable AND because it’s on nearly every machine in the world.
I love the site, looks great, I especially like the tabs
One thing, I cannot see the whole header graphic using the new netscape, unless it is supposed to be chopped, the angled frame box with jp consepts in, is cuttoff at the level of the rest of the top banner. No boarder in other words.

At first glance, I noticed that the items on the sidebar are slightly inconsistent. I see:
- Pages
- Categories:
- Search:
- Archives:
- Meta:
Notice how all the sidebar items except the top one have a colon (:). I suggest removing the colon from all of them, as that would appeal to me.
Otherwise, great design! My favourite part is the tabs at the top. (Ooh, dang. Firefox 2.0’s spellchecker doesn’t recognise “favourite”)
Wow thanks for all the wonderful comments. I removed the colons and I’ve thought about making a winter theme. The reason I did Autumn is cause it’s my favorite season and I wanted to capture the beauty of Autumn in my site.
now thats how a site ought to look when its put in this area!! 🙂
I was just looking at this post again and I want to thank you all very much for the great comments and input. I have been devising a new design and I know it will be tough to top this design.
