Jetpack Tiled Galleries and WP.com CDN

    I’ve noticed that whenever I use the tiled galleries option with Jetpack, all of the images end up on the WP.com CDN and the image links begin with something like i2.wp.com.

    I had this problem in the past using the carousel feature but it wasn’t 100%. In other words, some of the images would be linked to the original file on my server and some would be linked to a WP.com version. Now it seems if I use the Jetpack Tiled Galleries function, they’re all linking elsewhere.

    Is there a way to disable this? I’m thinking there’s a checkbox I’m not seeing. And by the way, I don’t have Photon enabled.

    Sorry about that. Never mind. I just clicked on the “Learn More” button and saw “Note: Images in tiled galleries require extra-special processing, so they will be served from WordPress.com’s CDN even if the Photon module is disabled.”
