Jetpack & slider / portfolio not getting along

Hi

My Home page slider and portfolio stopped showing images a few days ago. I cleared cache & cookies, switched to other browsers but it would no longer work. I deactivated some plugins with no luck, but then when I removed Jetpack they were back immediately. I love the WP stats jetpack offers. My theme support is not replying to my questions. What can I do? I want my slider & portfolio and jetpack at the same time. They used to work together until the recent update. help?
