At Seacoast Web Design, I have a TwentyEleven Child Theme in use and have enable Jetpack’s Mobile Theme module…

Issue 1) The Mobile theme is not using the Child Theme’s Header Image.
Issue 2) The Mobile Theme is not using the Child Theme’s Sidebar (There is no sidebar displayed below at all).

For Issue 1, I do recall that the Twenty Eleven (parent) header used is the same as the image displayed on JP mobile theme. Is JP mobile not working with Child Theme?

For Issue 2, I have reviewed http://jetpack.me/support/mobile-theme/, but ask how to handle when a Child Theme is in use. Do I need to un-register and register a new Sidebar (sidebar-1)

I was using the free WPTouch plugin here (and on other sites), but once these issues are figured out and more testing done on my site, I intend to roll out to several others…Also, all my widgets are in the footer…no sidebars…on this site…

    Please advise…Thanks…

Thanks for the report. Other Jetpack users have reported similar issues here. I will post again there as soon as we find a solution to this problem.

Issue 2) The Mobile Theme is not using the Child Theme’s Sidebar (There is no sidebar displayed below at all).

Did you register new sidebars in your Child Theme? Could you try to create a new sidebar with the sidebar-1 ID?

Seems I can get the majority of the minieleven theme to look just like my child theme with a few edits (such as simply adding most of my child theme’s css to the bottom of minieleven’s….hopefully this does get simplified at some point…

working on issue 2 now – perhaps Jeremy could re-read my question on this?? I do not want to modify the parent theme…
