Hi! Can you please link me to a page with a gallery from your site, and tell me what slider plugin you are currently using? I’ll experiment on my end. Thanks!
Thanks, I have been trying jetpack with 3 different themes now, it crashes with most sliders (nextgen, fancybox etc). I usually get a memory allocation reached message, or some other weirdisms. My host assured me that it was wordpress and not something on their end – I hope…
I am trying to build here.
At the moment I am just using carousel, the tiles look good. But it seems I can;t use the tiles from jetpack and a slider from elsewhere without problems. I have changed theme 3 times in as many days thinking it might help.
Thanks for looking into it.
I dunno, now I can’t even see the featured image or link to the media library when I edit or create posts. Not sure what is going on but it always seems to settle if I disconnect jetpack – but then my tiles are a mess.
What do people usually do for nice looking tiles and slider?
Hi,
But it seems I can;t use the tiles from jetpack and a slider from elsewhere without problems.
These issues could be caused by Javascript issues or conflicts between the plugins, or with your theme. I can’t really say more without actually seeing a “broken” slider or gallery in action.
I usually get a memory allocation reached message, or some other weirdisms.
This is another issue that I can’t help you troubleshoot without seeing it happen, but it is likely related to a plugin or your theme.
I dunno, now I can’t even see the featured image or link to the media library when I edit or create posts.
That is very unusual.
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps that you can find here: http://jetpack.me/troubleshooting/troubleshooting-tips/
and in particular, steps 1 and 2? That might help us narrow down the conflict between Jetpack and whatever plugin or theme.
Disconnected plugins until things seemed to work again, seemed like contact form 7 was clashing with something. Still couldn’t use another slider plugin with jetpack. I have done that umoteen times now and always seem to reach memory allocations. The only to way fix it is to delete a plugin through FTP.
Hmm, are you certain it was Contact Form 7? Jetpack can normally work just fine alongside CF7 (except for the Contact Form module, of course), so I’m not certain that it really is the source of your issue. As for memory allocations problems, it might be that your host has set a really low limit to your allowed memory. Can you contact them and ask them to increase it, maybe to 48MB?
