[resolved] Jetpack Contact Form sending all emails as wordpress@www.domainname.com (4 posts)

    We previously used contact form 7, when a message was sent (to our google apps account) the from email address would naturally show as the one entered by the enquirer, since upgrading to jetpack contact form all emails now show in the from field as 'wordpress@www.hms69.com' which means that every enquiry goes in the same thread as the previous message, do you know how I can stop this from happening and to have each message in its own thread?

    Jetpack Contact Form uses the default WordPress wp_mail() to send out emails, so all the emails will be sent from wordpress@yourdomain.com

    I am afraid it's currently not possible to change that option in Jetpack. Since you can build your own Custom Form, a Feedback email might not always include an email address. It might also include multiple email addresses, depending on the form.

    But I took note of your feedback, and we'll consider it for a future Jetpack update!

    Thanks Jeremy, I think we'll have to go back to using contact form 7 as its too confusing, right now I have 20 emails in gmail from different people all in the same thread.

    You should be able to solve that issue by inserting a "Subject" line into your form: the emails will then include that "subject" in the subject line.
