I have a contact form that successfully sends emails to gmail and my own websites domain email but to the required email address, nothing.

I am not sure I understand the issue. Do you mean that the Contact form works when you specify a custom email address in the Email notifications panel, but won’t work when you don’t use that custom email field?

    Jeremy,

I hope you received the information I sent you yesterday, please let me know what else I can do to help solve this.

    Thanks.

Busted Contact Form – linked to W3 Total Cache

I just had the same issue, deactivated the new version of W3 Total Cache (Version 0.9.2.5) and it fixed my Contact Form issue. I was getting an error after clicking submit on my contact form “Are you sure you want to do this?” with no actionable command option

I am having same issue for about 3 – 4 weeks now. It seems to work fine if you are using default address in where the email goes to but ignores sending to custom email… is repeatable and very disturbing since members think i am blowing off their support requests.

i am not using W3 Total Cache. I am hosted on WPengine.

    Help please,
    Arthur

Are the Feedbacks correctly displayed in the Feedbacks menu in your dashboard?

If the messages are correctly sent to one email but not to another, you might want to check your Spam / Junk folder, as your email provider is most likely filtering out these emails.

I am using the Jetpack contact form and it is posting the form entries to my wp_posts table instead of emailing them.

The Form entries are indeed stored into the wp_posts table, and you can access them in the Feedbacks menu in your dashboard.

They should also get emailed to you though. Could you check the email address you specified under Settings > General, and under the Email notifications tab in the form builder?

If that email address is correct, could you check that you receive emails when somebody comments on your site, or registers? Since Jetpack uses WordPress’ default mailing functions, the emails may not be sent of that function fails on your site.

    Thanks.

    I have this problem;
Solution: when I change form options (fields and ‘to’) and confirm, WP show a code like [contact-form subject='...'][contact-field..
But this code don’t have a “to” option.
    So, I added manually: [contact-form subject='...' to='my_email@gmail.com']..

I have been using the Jetpack Contact form on a couple of sites now, and have noticed two issues…

    1) Many times, when the user submits their form, it takes a very long time to process, and then – sometimes – they are taken to a blank page.

    2) Many of our Feedback recordings and emails we receive from the contact form submissions are not recording all fields. It varies, but sometimes is records ONLY the “additional comments” text box, sometimes just certain fields. Very rarely do we see all of the files properly stored and sent via email.

Here is the page of our latest use for the form. Can anyone help? http://thejacksongroup.com/contact/

@uncalan2653 Could you start a new thread about your issues, since they are different from the problem reported by the Original Poster?

    Hello
I’m having a similar issue: the jetpack contact form does not send any email to the contact who fills it up but it sends an email to the author of the webform (although I asked to send it to another default address) and it registers the filled form entries in the feedback section.
I am using smtp to send emails via the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin, since otherwise many email addresses would not receive any email. I tried with both the php_mail and the smtp protocols but both fail in sending emails. I tried disabling the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin, changing email recipient and filling only part of / the whole form, but nothing changes. No email in the junk box.
I’m using wordpress 3.5.1 and tried both with jetpack 2.2.1 and the updated 2.2.2.
    Here’s the form: http://www.logisticsarena.eu/innovation-in-logistics-workshop-registration-page/
    Many thanks for any suggestion!

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

I am having this exact problem – comments show up in the feedback area, but there is no email or notification that there is feedback. I thought the code from falci looked interesting, but I am not sure the exact format to test that?

I was having the same issue of jetpack contact form not sending emails. Feedbacks were coming through but not emails.
Under settings, discussion settings, before a comment appears.
I unchecked, Comment author must have a previously approved comment. I then saved the change. I tested the comment form and it worked.

Fwiiw I solved it by purchasing this plugin: http://codecanyon.net/item/all-in-one-email-for-wordpress/1290390. Works for me.
