JetPack Comments adds "Comments are Closed" even after being deactivated

    Just FYI for future versions, currently the JetPack Comments feature adds “Comments are Closed” remarks on pages where comments are closed. Two problems. My theme already states “comments are off”, so now it says it twice. When I deactivated JetPack Comments, the closed remark remained. I had to install a plugin to get rid of the left-over, duplicate remark.

    When I deactivated JetPack Comments, the closed remark remained.

    Jetpack Comments doesn’t actually affect the way comments are displayed on your site.

    The comment list, and the messages appearing when comments are closed, are entirely managed by your theme. When comments are closed, the Jetpack comment form is not loaded at all on the page.
