[resolved] Jetpack 2.2.1 Causing Problems for Mobile Theme (5 posts)

    Hi Jetpack Support Community,

    I just updated my site from 2.2 to 2.2.1 and it's causing problems for the mobile version of my site.

    Issues
    -Header image not appearing (theme I'm currently using doesn't have a header option under appearance).
    -Border colours at the top, and bottom of the page are blue, instead of grey (the colour I set it as).
    -"Now Aavilable! Download WordPress for Andoird", and "Proudly powered by WordPress" links are appearing at the bottom of the page (they weren't before when I edited my site).

    Here is my code on the "Edit CSS" page.

    #header {
    	border-top: 4px solid rgb(225,225,225);
    	border-bottom: 4px solid rgb(225,225,225);
    	min-height: 80px;
    	background: url("http://www.com");
    }

    #site-title {
    	display: none;
    }

    #site-description {
    	display: none;
    }

    .widget-area {
    	display: none;
    }

    If anyone can shed some light on these problems, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for reading.

    Regards,

    Arthur

    Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

    -"Now Aavilable! Download WordPress for Andoird", and "Proudly powered by WordPress" links are appearing at the bottom of the page (they weren't before when I edited my site).

    You can remove this link by going to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and clicking on "Configure" under the Mobile Theme module.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it!

    I've been able to resolve my colour issues by locating "style.css" in the directory (jetpack>modules>minileven>theme>pub>minileven) and changing the colour codes there. For the header image, I edited the file "header.php" in the same directory. The other issues involving the WordPress links at the bottom we're fixed with the file "footer.php" in the same directory.

    Before I had all my edits in the "Edit CSS" section of the Appearance menu. Thanks for the support!

    Regards,

    Arthur

    You should be able to use the Custom CSS editor to add your own CSS to the Mobile theme, but you need to enable the Mobile-compatible mode, on the right side of the page.

    Could it be why your CSS changes didn't appear before?

    Hi Jeremy,

    I had "Mobile-compatible" enabled. I believe the issue may have been my CSS code, as it didn't match the style.css file in the minileven folder.

    Regards,

    Arthur
