Currently, my site utilizes Joomla with JD-WordPress. Joomla goes over and above what I need so I want to switch to pure WordPress.

Is it possible to transfer all posts, users and such from JD-WordPress to WordPress? If so, how? What would be the best way? Wipe out my database for clean install?

    Thanks ahead of time.

    Perhaps:

But first I'd check in with the Joomla folk to see if the database can be swapped over (without too much effort) to a standalone WP setup.

I've used the WordPress database backup feature so didn't know if that would cover it. Otherwise, it's a wing and a prayer over at Joomla in getting a response.

Still hoping to hear if it's possible to move users over to pure WordPress from JD-WordPress.

I've left a post over at Joomla but like I said before, they're not very responsive especially when you're moving away from their CMS.
