Javascript icons?

The Metroblogging sites — like Metroblogging Houston have a row of icons at the bottom of each post. Standard stuff — permalink, tags, email, etc.

But the cool thing is that they use javascript to show/hide the various items (categories, tags, etc.) and they have some nice mouseover effects. Does anyone know of a plugin to do something similar?
