   hello!
   Ive had loaded for me, through my hosting company(hostgator) WordPress. all was well...then, when i have gone to the site admin tab I have lost the 'dashboard' as I recognize it.....the board now looks very plain and now does not look like a webpage. The page is just hyper link text down the left hand side of the page.......Could you please tell me how i restore the web page 'look' site admin/ dashboard.
   this is my first couple of days with wordpress and with the forum.......thank!

   Maybe you blew up some of the 'core' files when uploading a theme or plugin.

   Try to delete and reupload your wordpress files as explained in Steps 7 and 8 of Upgrading WordPress Extended.

   hay, thanks for your reply....
   I am way too deep with this, from what ive read....from the upgrade and uploading links.
   the only process I have done is to remove the loaded themes I uploaded and then overwrite through the ftp program the whole of the installation.......this process has only removed the templates (using the default),kept my basic settings(first post)but the admin login format is still the same....
   unless there is something now to tweek then I will have to ask for help on a 'do it for me..fix it ' basis

   Whopeeee!!!!!!!

   I did the steps 7 & 8 with my legs hand and feet crossed!!!

   and it worked.........now Im scared to change my theme incase the same this happens again!

   thks sooooo much
   now i can start blogging again.
