Dang those aliens, now they have invaded the motherland, wp-admin, with their insidious slogan, “Mark strings for translation.” Now I may be forced to download another nightly in order to keep up with future fixes and updates. “Quis hic locus, quae regio, quae mundi plaga” – translate that string you little buggers!

  • Hey…I joking put in the wiki awhile back that I’d be doing the Latin translation. Perhaps an erudite Eliot scholar such as yourself would care to join me? 😉

    I’m not T.S. Eliot, just a poor “alien”…
Did you mean “What place is this, what region, what quarter of the world?” The world is great, my friend, even greater then Wordpess.

Heh, heh – I was actually borrowing from my high school Latin and Seneca’s Hercules Furens which obviously influenced Tom’s Marina and Will’s Macbeth but wouldn’t it be great if some of us WP users were writing like that?!? Just so I don’t leave the quote hanging (like T.S. did): “..Ubi sum? Sub ortu solis, an sub cardine Glacialis Ursae?” (Where am I? Under the rising sun, or beneath the wheeling course of the Frozen Bear?” – Please correct me if my memory has failed me – that was a lifetime ago. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming… 😉
