Items number incorrect if retweets are not included

    Hey there

    as per subject, I noticed that when retweets are not included this plugin does not show the correct amount of tweets.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1) Install and setup the plugin
    2) Add the plugin widget to a sidebar, then set the number of tweets to X, making sure that within your last X tweets there is at least a retweet.
    3) Save the widget settings and go to see it in action
    4) You will have Y number of tweets missing, where Y is the number of retweets contained in X

    In other words, it’s as if even when you exclude the retweets from the items to print, the loop still counts them as valid items. They don’t get printed, but they’re counted as part of the collection.

    Any thoughts?

    You explained this problem really well.

    I set the Twitter Pro options to display two tweets with no retweets or replies. Because my last tweet is a reply, it’s only displaying my second to last tweet, which is neither a reply or retweet.

    When I change the settings to include replies, two tweets are displayed in the sidebar. So I agree that the count seems to include replies and retweets, despite the options I selected in the settings.

    I’m also seeing “from the web” at the end of my tweet. Nothing is telling me where that’s coming from.

    Unfortunately, that’s the way the Twitter API works. It grabs the number of Tweets you asked for, then removes the retweets. At some point I hope to have the time to code around this (request a bunch of extra tweets, hoping to get enough to actually meet the preferred number), but I don’t know when that will happen.
