Italics to Bold

    Whenever I try to use italics, I get bold instead. Does anybody know why that would be happening and what I can do about it?

    Is this something I just need to talk to the theme author about?

    Your guess was right: you should contact the theme author amd tell him not to mess with standard html tags like <em>.
    This is what you have in the stylesheet:
    div.entry-content em,div.comments ol.commentlist li em{font-style:normal;font-weight:700;}

    Sure enough, on the author’s website, he posits that em should be bold, not italic, so he puts that in every theme.

    So that includes Barthelme (my theme) as well as PlainTxt, Simplr, and Sandbox.

    FYI.

    And I just deleted that line and it fixed it.
