• I have created a website using WordPress TwentyTwelve and a child theme. In my blog pages, the italics show up some of the time but not others. Here is a sample page: http://www.womenarts.org/2013/05/18/naomis-road-an-opera-for-the-children-of-war/

There is a quote by Joy Kogawa in italics at the top of that blog article – it shows up in the WordPress editor, but when I go to view the page from other computers, sometimes the italicized text is there and sometimes the text does not show at all. If I refresh the page, the italicized text always shows up again.

I have made a few tweaks through my child theme css which is at http://www.womenarts.org/wp-content/themes/child_wa/style.css?ver=3.5.1, but I don’t see anything there that is causing the problem. I was seeing this problem with WP 3.5 and I have just upgraded to WP 3.5.1.

Can anyone tell me what is causing the italicized text to disappear?

Thanks so much for your help with this.

  • Spot a few errors in your child_wa/style.css

Missing the unit for padding-top in #masthead.site-header

Missing the closing } of .site-content article

This might or might not be the reason for that weird behavior, but it’s good to fix it first.

Thanks Paul. I am a newbie and I had stared at that css file for an hour and did not see those errors. I have fixed them now. The problem is not appearing at the moment. I will keep an eye on it for a couple of days to let you know if the problem comes back. It will be great if this has fixed it!

Thanks so much for your help.
