Italics Are Everywhere (12 posts)

    Hi,

Just got my new Word Press blog running today live.

Initially my posts were fine. What I wanted italicized was italicized.

Then when I went to update one section, by not making it in italics, then it put EVERYTHING in italics.

When I go to edit the post or preview it, then it looks the way it should, i.e. only italicized where intended.

But then when it is posted and viewed on the blog, then the whole thing (subject box, body, etc) is in italics.

It is very strange why this is happening.

    Any clues...

    Just to add one thing...

When I view the blog post in its category, then it displays properly, without all the italics.

But then when I see it from the Home page it is filled with italics.

Does that give a better indication of what has gone wrong?

A link to your site would be even more helpful.

Right at the bottom of the post titled "Our New Window Decals", you have a single, unclosed <em> tag. This means that everything after that point will be in italics.

If you edit that post and delete everything after the line "We have LOTS, so please do come in and take a few. Great for your car, office, or wherever you wish!" then re-save, it should fix your problem.

I have exactly the same problem, but I don't see an unclosed tag to eliminate. Here's the link:

Near the end of the second post form the top (the wedding at Fontainebleau), there's a picture of a photographer and some text. It's in italics, and everything from there on in the blog is. Help!

If you're talking about this post:
    http://ellenzaslaw.com/blog/980/

There is an <em> tag at the beginning of the post, which starts the italics, but there's no closing tag for it.

On an unrelated note, why is it that every photographers blog/site that gets posted on here contains a minimum of 300 million full size pictures on its index page, causing my browser to almost grind to a standstill while 600mb worth of pictures gets loaded?

I reckon the world's photographers are actually in cahoots with each other to try and bring the whole internet to a standstill and cause some major meltdown of modern digital society as we know it. It's a conspiracy I tell ya. A conspiracy.

Bingo! Way up there, far from thev first italicized bit. Wow. Thank you so (italicized) much! My gratitude is almost enough to make me shrink down the images or shorten the posts. But not quite :-). Seriously, I'm surprised you're having a problem with loading. People I know seem not to, but maybe there's a world out there I don't know much about, and that world might include potential clients, eh? When I look through the log of site visitors, many log on and scroll all the way down in less than a minute. Of course I don't now what the story is with those who leave after seconds, but I've imagined they decided they'd come to the wrong place.

    Thanks again!
