   Hi,

   I am new with WP this and what I find strange is the default theme doesn't have:

   1. doesn't have Login and Register box? this is a very basic feature for a website isn't it?

   2. When I edit the first post WYSIWYG menubar shows the X instead of icon images. The same with Post in Dashboard

   3. In Dashboard / themes / they are Xs instead of thumbnails or images so at least I can see what they look like before going further.

   Overall, I haven't done anything yet and I think all the images and icons should be displayed but they are now just Xs. Any ideas please advise. Thanks so much in advance for your time and effort.

   1. Get a widget to do that
   2. might not have gotten all your files uploaded to your host so review Uploading WordPress to a remote host
   3. could have a permission problem or themes are not in the proper location

   This was installed automatically via Fantastico. IMHO, this should all be set by default. And this commonly be seen from scripts that include tons of add-ons and features, they tend to miss out the very basic features that common users wanted to see.
