Widget Logic
it seems logical.... why won't this work? (2 posts)

i've used widget-logic on several sites for some pretty simple stuff - show this widget on this page only, etc. now i want to make it do something that it seems like it would do easily, but i'm having issues.

i have two versions of a navigation. one is simple - generated with the Custom Menu widget built in to WP, and one is a JQuery fancy accordion menu version of a similar 2 level nav with a plugin. the fancy navigation appears only on the pages of certain categories so the logic on that widget looks like this:

    is_category(array(24, 11, 7, 6, 8, 15, 10, 9, 13))

and this sorta works - though it only shows the fancy navigation on the category pages, not the child-pages within that category

so... for the other one, i just want to have it appear everywhere else, but when i use this bit of logic on that widget the simple navigation doesn't show up on any pages.

    | is_category(array(24, 11, 7, 6, 8, 15, 10, 9, 13))

what am i doing wrong? it seems so - logical....

    :)

ooh... i noticed was using a pipe instead of an exclamation point for "not" that's helpful.

now if i could only figure out how to get the nav to show on the child pages....
