It's very important to us that we figure out why it's not working for you.

Does it work if you have no other plugins enabled? Does it work with the default WP theme? It could be a theme/plugin conflict that we could try to work around.

    Hey Trisha

The plugin doesn't work (only imports images within pages) even when all other plugins are deactivated and Twenty Thirteen theme is selected.

    Hi Nadeem,

We're double-checking everything to see if we can find the same bug you're experiencing. We'll be in touch again soon.

Are you having trouble with new posts, or processing your existing posts, or both?

The plugin doesnt even look for any post at all - whether old or new. It simply imports all images attached in pages (works correctly even for over 3 years old pages).

However for most users processing all old posts would be a priority I guess (as new posts would already be using internal images when people will be searching this plugin to import all of their old external images).

I hope to hear from you soon, best of luck.

Absolutely, and it's a very important feature of the plugin. We'll continue searching for the bug.

    Hi Nadeem,

I'm not able to reproduce the same problem that you have.

If you would be willing to allow my co-developer Jason to log into your site and do some testing, would you please set up a new admin account on your site and send the details to: http://www.bluemedicinelabs.com/contact/

Please ensure you have working backups for your site (not that we would make any changes to it - it's just the safe thing to do, for your peace of mind), and make sure you delete that admin account after he's finished.

I have exactly the same problem as described by Nadeem. The plugin only looks in pages and not in posts. So no images import is possible for posts. I use WP 3.8.

Hi kochtopf. Would you be willing to allow Jason to log into your site and see what's going wrong? We're not able to reproduce this bug, so being able to see this bug in action on your site would be a huge help to us.

Having the same problem. I on WordPress 3.7.1. It just looks to process pages and disregards author settings.

@cmeinck: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster's ongoing thread unless you are posting a solution or suggestion. It causes significant problems for the forum's volunteers and prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Please post your own topic.

@esmi I wasn't attempt to derail the thread, simply noting that more than one user has the same experience. Creating multiple threads regarding the same issue doesn't make much sense and that's based on my 10 plus years of managing forums. If you feel it was impolite, feel free to delete my messages.

I appreciate your help in keeping order in the forums, esmi. (And I appreciate the bug reports from all 3 of you.)

I'm still looking for a volunteer to help us out by allowing us to log into your site and test it. As mentioned above, please ensure you have working backups for your site (not that we would make any changes to it - it's just the safe thing to do, for your peace of mind), and make sure you delete that admin account after he's finished.

You can send us login details here: http://www.bluemedicinelabs.com/contact/

And you can make your login details self-destruct by sending them via: https://1ty.me/ - because security is important.

Good news - I've managed to reproduce this bug, so we're going to work on a fix for it now.

This should be Resolved with version 1.0.6 please update.

It still isn't working. It only loads 5 most latest posts apart from the pages no matter what the settings are.

    Check this screenshot: http://grab.by/sYBU

My fault I pushed a fix fast and left the default of only 5 posts in place. I missed it on the test environment because I only had less than 5 posts.

Anyway version 1.0.7 is up and it's fixed.

On pressing the process button, the browser gets hanged for a long time. This might be because of the presence of some 2000 old posts.

Is it possible for you to make the plugin import images in small batches (like processing 5 posts at a time)? I believe in this way the plugin would be practical for all small/huge websites.

Nice idea. I'll brainstorm on that a little bit. I have some ideas I'll need to try out.

Thanks for the feature request Nadeem Khan.

Version 1.1.0 is now out. Our first Minor release update. The new feature is batch processing.

The batch system is working perfectly but the import functionality seems to have broken. The number of images processed is appearing wrong and even after a post has been processed, there's no change in the images.

For example, even after the processed message appeared:

"[27497] Top 5 Bike Chases in Movie History: 13 images processed."

The post (http://bit.ly/18EqzSP) still has the external image. Further there is only 1 external image in the post (not 13 as shown).

    Hi Nadeem,

We really appreciate your help with this. It's so important to us that we get it working without any bugs like the one you're still experiencing.

Would you please contact us via our website, so that we can work more closely with you on fixing this? We'd really appreciate it.

In creating the batch process the import functionality was not touched.

When looking at the code of the page I count 4 images not just 1. There are two images and each are followed up with a "noscript" tag that also has an image reference in it. Although that may be after the fact with JS or something.

It's hard to tell. Whatever issue the plugin has seems to be specific to this particular post content. I cannot replicate it. I'd really be interested in getting ahold of the source of this particular post in WordPress so that I can try to duplicate it on my testing site.

Of course the issue may be relating to a plugin also. I cannot see a reason why the plugin would see 13 images, but I also don't understand why your 2 images are duplicated into 4 in the noscript. Very unusual from this side of things.

The wrong image count is showing up for all of the posts. And, despite processed messages for posts, no images are being imported.

I have sent you the post's content through the link you shared above.
