There is an issue with both v1.9.5 and v1.9.6 of the plugin with many users finding that it no longer tracks hits on your site while other users have no issue at all.

I’m working on a long term fix to override all these issues and should hopefully have a performance improvement as well.

In the short term, I plan on reverting parts of the code to v1.9.4 which had it working for almost all users.

Before I release this, I suggest that you get hold of v1.9.4 of the plugin directly and upload to your plugins folder overwriting your existing install.

Please bear with me while I get the fix out and thank you for being a long term user of the plugin!

  • But please be aware, that, downgrading (which means the way you uninstall it), will reset your posts statistics. Ouch.. I did it 🙁
But never mind, I love this plugin. So it doesn’t bother me too much.
I suggest you just extract the previous version and overwrite the existing (without uninstalling v1.9.5 or v1.9.6.)

hadingr, thanks for pointing this out. If you delete the plugin from within WP Admin it will delete all data as well.

All, if you’re still running 1.9.6, do check out a potential fix and let me know if it is working for you?

I just released v1.9.7 that should hopefully fix the issues with the counters. Please do upgrade and let me know if it works for you.

I have a problem with any version past 1.9.4

If I go past that version the widgets only show the top 3 no matter the number I type such as 5.

    on Wordpess 3.6

PS I tried up through 1.9.8 and they all do the same thing only 1.9.4 down show correctly.

Does this work if you set the number to around 3 times as much?

i.e. if you set it to 15 posts, how many display?

    Hi,

I just upload v1.9.8.1 which should ideally fix the issue with the number of posts. Could you please check and let me know.

v1.9.8.1 works like a charm, thanks for the fix now no matter the number I enter that many of post appears so I entered 5 and got five posts in my list. 🙂
