   Hi,

   Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.

   I seem to be having some troubles with images suddently, all images are located in the uploads folder and it is pointed correctly, however for some reason some of the images are not showing on the single post pages or in some category pages, however when you go to the page and hover over the image, it shows the page and when you click on it, the image shows perfectly, along with all the other thumbnails.

   When I enter the image url, it loads perfectly. This seems to only be the case on some posts.. I have a link to some examples below:

   One of the posts not showing images unless you click on the white box is:

   Whereas, most of the other posts work fine and all images can be viewed when the page loads, like the one below:

   I can't work out what the problem is, as I have replicated it on my iphone, Mac at home and also my PC at work, all unable to view the same images.

   I played around with some permissions, but changed them all to 755 in case that was the problem.

   I have also disabled any new plugins I had installed, but the problem persists.

   I also cleared my cache and cookies and rebooted Firefox, but to no avail.

   Any help would be really appreciated!

   Hello paching,

   Your first link leads to a 404. Do you have another link that better illustrates your issue?

   As an additional note, I am also having some troubles viewing some other random images on some category pages, example is :
   http://www.leahsden.info/?cat=52

   Where Henry VIII product image is missing, although if you click on the post, it shows the thumbnail but seems to give a one second flick of the image when you open the post and then it disappears!

   Thanks for any help, I am all out of ideas of what it could possibly be!

   Just an update as well, I have also tried uploading the same images to one of the posts with a different name through the WordPress uploader, but that doesn't seem to work either. The same problem.

   If I create a new post and add an image, that seems to work fine though..

   I even tried to re-create one of the posts with the image issue and the same issues.

   Any assistance would be appreciated, I am absolutely stumped on what it could possibly be.

   I also now seem to having some trouble even adding images to any posts... I changed the permissions for my wp-content/uploads folder to 777 as well, but no luck...

   any ideas anyone? I'd really love some help if anyone has any clues?

   So strange, it all worked fine until yesterday afternoon... I am baffled!

   Okay, bit of an update.

   I ended up restoring my site from backup, so the images are showing now, however I am still having the following problem:

   When I try to upload an image to a post from my computer it seems to upload okay, but when I click on save after the upload screen, it appears blank on the post screen, like I never tried to upload anything.
   I have to manually enter the url for the image from the server for it to show on the post.... very odd...

   If anyone might know why this is still happening, even after a restore I would be so appreciative... thank you!
