    I’m experimenting with Duplicator on a rather large site. We pass all the requirements in the first step, but we get several warnings:

    Our database is 95.5MB (but only 15,197 records)
    The site is 366.19MB
    We have a table details warning with no explanation.
    We have 5 files bigger than 5MB.

    This is a very old site (probably > 10 years old) maintained by volunteers; paid staff would probably have optimized it. Do you think duplicator will work?? Oh, yeah – it’s on GoDaddy shared hosting.

    Is this simply too big for Duplicator to handle or should I forge ahead?

    Probably not on a shared/budget host…

    Well, I did try to run it. The build ended with an error:
    500 Internal Server Error
    but when I look in the directory /home/content/16/6136616/html/wp-snapshots/tmp

    I see 2 files

    20140331_liferingtestsite_xxxxx_archive.zip.hPOWX4 (178,766,899)
    20140331_liferingtestsite_xxxxx_database.sql (96,691,950)

    So it looks like it bombed on the file backup because the SQL dump is about the right size. I may try this again without the remaining 5 oversized files.

    But I’m discouraged by the size limitations. It would be nice if I had a small site that duplicator could easily handle but that’s not the real world. Any other suggestions??

    Hey Hedera,

    Checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:
    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find section: “3. Troubleshoot=> Timeout Issues”

    It has some work-arounds for larger sites on budget hosts with timeout constraints…

    Hope that helps!
